Travel

All the ways you can get to Connecticut, and places you might like to stay.

Planes

We recommend flying into Bradley International Airport (BDL).

You will need to drive to the Woodbury / Bethlehem area from there.

Travel Tips

Trains

If you’re coming from the Northeast (NY, MA, NJ, PA) you can take the Metro North or Amtrak (we recommend the Bridgeport or Brewster stations).

You will need to drive to the Woodbury / Bethlehem area from there.

Automobiles

If you are taking a plane or train, you will need to rent a car for reliable transportation in the area.

If driving the entire way, please plan for extra travel time in case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Where to Stay

Wyndham Southbury

Price: $-$$

Distance: ~23 min

Vibe:

For a reasonably priced, predictable chain-hotel experience close to Nick and my favorite Crossfit gym, stay here! It’s also quite close to Rich Farms (“the best ice cream in the WORLD”, per Nick. Try the peaches & cream).

Litchfield Inn

Price: $$+

Distance: ~12 min

Vibe:

A gorgeous, bespoke inn experience, but at a more reasonable price point than Winvian. If you like this, you may also like 1754 House in Woodbury!

Heritage Hotel

Price: $-$$

Distance: ~23 min

Vibe:

Want tons of amenities at a reasonable price? Stay here. They’ve got a gorgeous athletic club, neighboring golf course, and vineyard! One of Nick’s favorite unlimited-sushi restaurants is also across the street.

Winvian

Price: $$$+

Distance: ~7 min

Vibe:

Five stars, literally. Winvian Farm is the fanciest, coziest, closest and most expensive of your options. Stay in your very own, one-of-a-kind cabin (each has been custom-designed by a renowned architect).

Marriot Courtyard, Danbury

Price: $$

Distance: ~42 min

Vibe:

For those who want their Bonvoy points! Please note that we STRONGLY suggest the Marriot Courtyard in Danbury over the one in Waterbury (text us for more info).

The Abner Hotel

Price: $$$+

Distance: ~12 min

Vibe:

Luxury boutique hotel / historic getaway. The Abner was the region’s first courthouse and has been reimagined as a gorgeous 20-room inn with incredible food, drinks, and vibes. This is the best spot for foodies, as the local food scene is pretty epic.
